Star Citizen Aurora Mk II
The cheapest way into Star Citizen, and a tidier ship than its price suggests.
By Domux. Updated 2026-10-11.
The RSI Aurora Mk II is the ship inside the Citizen Starter Pack, the cheapest Game Package at $60 list (source checked 14 October 2026). It is a compact starter with a bed, basic weapons and a little cargo space, built to get you flying without spending much.
The role
It is a no-frills entry ship: fly, do starter missions, haul a small amount of cargo, and earn your way up. Nobody keeps an Aurora forever, but as a first ship it does exactly what a starter should and keeps your entry cost as low as possible.
How it fits the referral bonus
The Aurora Mk II comes in the Citizen Starter Pack ($60 list (source checked 14 October 2026), regularly $60) along with 10,000 UEC. It is the cheapest qualifying package, so it is the lowest-cost way to claim the referral bonus. Whichever way you get it, signing up with the referral code adds 50,000 UEC of in-game currency to your new account after a Game Package purchase, money you can spend kitting out the ship and your character.
