Star Citizen Hornet
Hornet role, variants and buying considerations. Check the source-dated RSI specifications before choosing a hull.

The Anvil Hornet is a classic medium fighter family in Star Citizen, tougher and harder-hitting than light fighters, built for players who take combat seriously.
What it is
Where light fighters are nimble, the Hornet is a durable gun platform with the firepower and survivability for sustained combat, a long-standing favourite of dedicated pilots.
Who it is for
Players who want to specialise in combat, bounty hunting and dogfighting. It is a step up from a starter, something you earn or buy once you know you love flying.
Identify the generation and variant
The Hornet family includes different generations and configurations. Check the exact F7 model before comparing equipment or cost. The Hornet is a medium fighter family; a single label does not establish that every variant offers the same crew layout. Compare a Gladius if a lighter combat platform is your goal.
Light fighter alternative. These are buying considerations based on intended roles, not measured flight-test results.
Check the source-dated RSI specifications below for variants and production status. In-game purchase and rental availability need a separate check. For first-time access, choose a Game Package; standalone ships do not include the game licence.
